Dive into the art of handbuilding in this two-session ceramics workshop, led by Patricia Lortie. Learn fundamental techniques like slab building, pinching, coiling, and carving to craft your own unique piece — in this case, a small bowl.​

In the first session, you’ll shape your creation using various handbuilding methods. The second session focuses on decoration, where you’ll apply colored slips to bring your piece to life. Between sessions, your work will undergo a bisque firing in a pottery kiln, and after the final touches, it will be glaze-fired to achieve a finished look.​

This hands-on experience offers a simple introduction to ceramics, allowing you to learn, create, and take home a personalized ceramic artwork.

Join us on for an energizing outdoor running session at Stanley Park! This activity is a great opportunity to stay active, enjoy the fresh air, and prepare for the upcoming French Run 2026, all in a friendly and motivating atmosphere.

The goal of this run is not to win, break a record, or compete, but simply to enjoy a great moment together, move our bodies, and start the good resolutions for 2026 on the right foot. Whether you run, jog, or take it easy, what matters most is being together and having fun while staying active.

This outdoor 5K run is open to all levels. Come alone or with friends and enjoy a social, relaxed, and positive experience.

Please be aware that if weather conditions are too severe, this activity may be cancelled.

Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to the meeting point. Alliance Française staff members are not professional sports coaches, and each participant is responsible for their own safety. It is recommended to dress appropriately for the weather and bring water. You will receive an email with all necessary details a few days prior to the event.

Ever wondered how to bake an authentic French bread using traditional artisan methods ?

Join French baker Bertrand Hasbroucq for an immersive bread-making workshop and discover the timeless techniques of French boulangerie. From mixing and kneading the dough to mastering fermentation, shaping loaves, scoring like a professional, and baking in the traditional way — you will experience every step of real artisan bread production.

This is a hands-on class where you will shape your own bread, learn the secrets behind perfect fermentation, and understand what makes French bread so unique. You’ll also take home the recipe in PDF format, along with the skills to recreate true bakery-quality bread in your own kitchen. And of course, you’ll leave with freshly baked bread to enjoy !

The workshop will be in French.
